2025 Chevy Colorado Trim Levels: Mid-Size Truck Versatility
WT
Every Colorado has a 310-hp, 2.7-liter four-cylinder TurboMax engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The WT can tow up to 7,700 pounds, which is the highest towing capacity of any truck in the 2025 Colorado’s class. Every trim except the ZR2 shares this capacity. The WT also has the truck’s highest maximum payload capacity of 2,046 pounds.
This trim is outfitted with 17-inch wheels. The cabin has a six-speaker audio system, an 11.3-inch touchscreen display, and a digital instrument cluster. A power-adjustable driver’s seat is optional. You can opt to add tiedown rings and/or a 45-inch-wide StowFlex storage compartment to the bed.
LT
Every standard feature from the WT is included in the LT trim. It adds several features, including keyless entry, a telescoping steering column, and heated front seats. It has a payload capacity of 2,046 pounds. A front passenger seatback map pocket is standard, a driver seatback map pocket is available, and the trim comes with front carpeted floor mats. The StowFlex tailgate that was available for the previous trim is standard in the LT and up.
Trail Boss
The 17-inch wheels from the previous two trims are replaced by 18-inch wheels on the Trail Boss, and it has standard all-terrain tires. It’s designed for great off-road capability, so it has a 2-inch suspension lift, a two-speed transfer case, fender flares, and an automatic locking rear differential. An Off-Road Lighting package and an Off-Road Front Bumper package are available. You can opt to replace the wheels with 20-inch ones.
The Advanced Trailering package is standard, adding features that include an integrated brake controller, a two-inch hitch, and a trailering app. It has a maximum payload capacity of 1.726 pounds.
Z71
The Z71 has everything from the Trail Boss, excluding the two-inch lift. It can transport up to 1,733 pounds in the bed. If you get the Z71 Convenience Package III, the truck comes with leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and memory settings for the driver’s seat.
ZR2
The ZR2 has a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 1,445 pounds. It has numerous off-roading-focused features, including 17-inch wheels with 33-inch mud-terrain tires, an upgraded suspension with a 3-inch lift, front and rear locking differentials, and multimatic DSSV dampers. An optional Bison Edition package adds 35-inch mud-terrain tires, AEV skid plates, a winch mount, and more.
